AFTER THE 2023 CORK HARVEST CAMPAIGN IS COMPLETED, THE PROCESS BEGINS WHICH WILL END IN THE 2025 CORK STOPPERS

Fortunately, we can say that this year we have finished the cork campaign after having spent about 100 days harvesting on 3 farms. And, with the new work tool (a new drone), we make a passage from our yard, yesterday, 27 August, with a tremendously windy day, which perfectly supported the new device.

Although we started “the cork harvest” last May, for various reasons, the work this year has been very long, due to the high temperatures, which caused us to stop on a few days for the safety of the employees and, in others, because the orography of the land did not allow a fast work.

However, the most important thing is not having had any noteworthy accident, and that after 23 years of controlling the process and traceability, it is this 2023, with total security, we have achieved “the best cork” of all years.

Also, analytically we can report that the first analyzes of June and July are very good, so if after all the monthly controls, after the month of March/April, the pyrazine analyzes were correct, we would mark for April or May 2024 the start date of the transformation of this cork into stoppers, hoping to finish by November 2024. And, from January 2025 ready to cork the best wines in the world (which we believe are always those of our customers).

We have stacked more than 300,000 kilos of cork and, as can be seen on the porch, and stack 10 in the yard, we still have about 50,000 kilos of cork to transform into stoppers that, together with those produced in the last 3 months, will be our arguments for 2024.
