Well, since 2015 when I made my first trip to Mexico to learn about its viticulture and our real possibilities of having a delegation to offer our cork stoppers, we have had two delegates who should be in charge of this task.
For various reasons that are beside the point, in both cases we were disappointed. But, if possible, with more desire to be part of the companies that have the pleasure and pride of covering these good and interesting wines.
For more than two years we have been doing the work of promoting and selling cork stoppers directly and with staff. But, due to distance and time differences, we find it very difficult to be effective.
But, fortunately, at the beginning of this year I was lucky enough to meet a Mexican passionate about the world of wine in a winery in Madrid. From the beginning of the evening we liked each other and I was surprised how interested he was in wanting to know everything that surrounds that beautiful world. For this and since that day, I left him an invitation to visit our cork stopper factory.
Since then we have been in contact and, in short, I can comment with great pleasure that my now friend, the engineer Mr. Luis Ángel Prado García, has studied the possibility of being our voice and our eyes in the interesting wine sector in his country.
Since he is freed from his previous professional responsibilities, he could dedicate himself exclusively to the promotion and sale of cork stoppers, we decided that, if after an intense course of knowledge of our product, we still thought the same, we would go on to shape a professional relationship, which, starting the delegation in his State, Coahuila, in the medium future, we could extend to Baja California and the rest of the country.
As throughout this week, Mr. Prado García has been very impressed by this complex, but curious and beautiful process, and we are satisfied with his progress and assimilation of “the mysteries” of the process in general, we have decided to stamp our signature in a contract that will unite us possibly for many years, in the beautiful effort to cover many bottles of good Mexican wine.
The attached photo shows Mr. Prado and me, as CEO of Gruart La Mancha, S.A. leaving testimony of this long comment.
